About us
Carol's company, and the story behind its name
520 Cleaning Solutions started as Carol's Cleaning, one woman cleaning homes with unusual care. Today it is a trained, insured team serving busy families and businesses across Massachusetts, still led by its founder.
Made for busy people and families
Most clients call because they are out of time: long workdays, kids, a parent who needs care. Once the cleaning is handled, their evenings and weekends are theirs again. That is the job, and we take it seriously.
A weekly visit, a deep clean, a move-out or an office all get the same written checklist and the same team habits. If we miss something, tell us within 24 hours and we come back to fix it.
Every family is welcome here, just as it is: whoever you love, however your family is made and wherever you come from. Our own team is treated with the same respect.

Meet the founder
Carol's road to Massachusetts
Carol is a Brazilian entrepreneur who has never been afraid to start small. Every chapter of her life has followed the same pattern: begin with a dream, work hard, and grow it with care.

Age 16
Carol starts her first job at a McDonald's in Brazil, working the counter.

Corporate years
She works her way up from restaurant attendant to auditor of operational and financial processes.

Macaé
Looking for a calmer, safer life, she moves to Macaé, in Rio de Janeiro state, known as Brazil's oil capital, and earns a degree in Oil and Automation Technology.

Her own business
Instead of long shifts on offshore rigs far from family, she opens a Brazilian steakhouse that starts small and grows year after year.

The United States
After ten years in Macaé, a trip to the U.S. changes everything. She studies English and falls in love with the culture, the quality of life and the safety it offers her children.

She builds a cleaning business one home at a time, earning loyal clients over seven years and finding new ways to grow through the pandemic.

The meaning of 520
Three layers behind three digits
After seven years as Carol's Cleaning, Carol felt ready to make it official. On May 20th, 2024, during a meditation where she set the intention of finding the right name, it arrived: 520.
5+2+0=7
Balance and harmony
The digits add up to seven, a number often linked with perfection. Carol also saw seven as three plus four: a triangle for the heavens and a square for the earth. That is our logo, a triangular roof resting on a square house.

“Solutions” is a promise to solve a real problem for busy people and families: no time. When the cleaning is handled, there is more room for family, passions and the moments that matter.
